Luther College

HISTORY
The meet got its start in 1972 by Luther coach Kent Finanger. The titles of the eight races represent the twenty-four Luther College men and women who have raced to All-American honors at the National Cross Country Championships.

COURSE
Trails through woods and prairie provide an outstanding cross country course on Luther's campus. The surface is grass or dirt trails, or grass fields. There is no pavement. The topography includes both flat-open fields and defining hills. The route of the course is designed to allow the possibility of personal best over the distance, but also to notably maintain the character of a fun & honest XC course with inherent challenge. Teams are welcome to preview the course on Friday.

RESULTS & AWARDS
Chip timing and results by Wayzata Results.  Team champs in each of the eight races will receive an award. The top 15 finishers in the MS & JV races and the top 45 finishers in the HS varsity races will receive an award. All participants in the junior-high races will receive a ribbon. In the college races, the top 15 finishers will receive an award. Unattached runners and alumni in the college races will be excluded from awards.

TEAM ARRIVAL / PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
Team buses & vans, arrive by way of Luther's main/north entrance on College Drive (at intersection with Luther Drive). All other entry points to the lower campus are closed to incoming traffic. From this main/north entrance, take an immediate right turn to lower campus (athletic grounds).  A Luther Campus Responder will be on-hand to direct your parking/unloading.  If your driver is planning to drop off the team and then return at a later time, consult the Luther Campus Responder for their instructions after parking/unloading.
