Luther Falls To Waldorf 73-64

Box Score FOREST CITY, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team lost to Waldorf 73-64. Charlie Wunderlich led the team with 12 points and Mikkel Schutte had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Norse are now 1-1 overall. 

In the first half, with 2:44 to go before halftime Waldorf tied the game at 29. Then Luther closed the half with a 9-0 run taking a 38-29 lead into the locker room. The Norse shot 48.1 percent from the field, 53.8 from the three-point line and 83.3 at the charity stripe. 

With 16:52 left to play, Luther was up 47-31 for a 16-point lead their largest of the night. The Warriors began to slowly chip away at the lead. Later with 3:50 to left in the contest Waldorf had pulled ahead 58-55 but that would be the closest the Norse would come. The Warriors pick up the win 73-64 and improve their record to 1-5 overall. 

The Norse won the battle of the boards with 44 compared to 32 from the Warriors.
