ROCK ISLAND, ILL. – The Luther Men's Track and Field team participated in the 30
th annual of the Meet of Champions.
Cole Peters posted two top-five finishes while taking fourth in the 400m hurdles and fifth in high jump. Meanwhile four distance runners placed among the scoring nine in the 1500-meter run.
EVENTS
Cole Peters (Mazeppa, Minn. / Zumbrota-Mazeppa) was fourth in the 400m hurdles at 55.60 seconds which is the fastest time for him in the season. Peters also was fifth in the high jump setting a mark of 1.90m which is his best mark in the event this season.
Four Norse distance runners were among the scoring nine in the 1500 with
Ian Kelly (Littleton, Colo. / Heritage) finishing the highest at fourth at 3:58.55 with
Lane Schwarz (Le Suer, Minn. / Le Suer-Henderson) in fifth at 4:04.05,
Benjamin Gillikin (Chester, N.J. / West Morris Central) in seventh at 4:04.69 and
Adam Koller (Worthington, Minn. / Worthington) in ninth at 4:05.51.
The 4x400 relay team set a time of 3:26.36 in route to a fourth-place finish with
Tinashe Chisora (Harere, Zimbabwe / UWC-Waterford Kamhlaba), Peters, Schwarz and Kelly.

TOP NORSE
- Cole Peters (Mazeppa, Minn. / Zumbrota-Mazeppa) posted the highest finishes for the Norse in two events with one for field and one for track. In the 400m hurdles he was fourth and in the high jump he was fifth.

The 4x800 relay team made up of
Lane Schwarz,
Ian Kelly,
Adam Koller and
Leo Duffy will compete at the Drake Relays on Thrusday, April 27th in Des Moines, Iowa while the rest of the team will head to the Rider/Bolstoff Invitational on Saturday, April 29
th in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Rider/Bolstoff hosted by Macalester will have the field events starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by the track events at 10:40 a.m. CT.
