Simpson scored eight unanswered runs in today's nightcap and defeated Luther 8-2. The Norse scored both of their runs in the first, while the Storm scored once in the first, twice in the fifth and five times in the sixth.

Abby Spore and Emily Versnik both had rbi singles in the first. Versnik was the only Norse to produce a multiple hit game going 2-for-3.

Samantha Thompson was credited with the loss and is now 9-3. Thompson threw 5 2/3 innings, allowed eight runs on four hits, walked two and struck out one.

The loss drops Luther to 10-10 in the A-R-C, 21-13 overall. Simpson is also 10-10 in league play, 13-15 overall.

These two teams will wrap up this three-game series on Sunday, May 2. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
