Luther, the winner of Pod 1 of the American Rivers Conference Tournament, defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University, the winner of Pod 2, 5-4 in the first game of today's scheduled double header. The team that wins two games of the schedule three-game championship series will claim the conference tournament title.
Nebraska Wesleyan led 4-2 as the Norse entered the bottom of the sixth and scored three runs on four hits that secured the victory.
Emily Versnik drove in a run with a double and
Hannah Halverson and
Elsa Skeie both drove in a run with singles.

Sydney Schultz (2-3),
Kyal Heydt (2-4) and Versnik (2-3) all produced multiple hits.
Kendra Cooper (19-5) went the distance in the circle for the fourth consecutive game and allowed four runs, two earned, on seven hits.
The win gives Luther an overall record of 30-14, while NWU fell to 16-20.
