Luther improved to 8-2 for the year after securing today's double header sweep over St. Mary's University. The Norse had eight hits that led to an 11-2 victory in five innings. Luther led 4-2 entering what proved to be its final at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. The Norse put seven runs on the scoreboard thanks to five hits. 

Elsa Skeie, Belle Berg, Kyal Heydt and Emily Fell all drove in two runs. Skeie was 3-for-3 at the plate, while Berg and Fell were both credited with two hits.

Abbey Gapinski was credited with the win. She pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowed two runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out three. Sam Thompson allowed two hits and struck out one working the final 1 1/3 innings.

Luther's next games are schedule outdoors at home on Saturday, March 20. The Norse will host Edgewood College (WI) for a twin-bill that will begin at Noon.
