Luther traveled to No. 17 University of Dubuque for the final game of this American Rivers Conference series. The series was tied 1-1 after the twin bill that was played in Decorah on Sunday afternoon. Luther led from start to finish this afternoon and ended the game early after scoring 10 runs in the sixth en route to a 12-1 victory.
After the first frame Luther held a 2-1 lead. The first was followed by four innings of zeros on the board. In the sixth, Luther did all of its damage with two outs. The inning started with Morgan Hoganson grounding out to third, followed by a
Sydney Schultz doubled to center, and then Elsa Skei grounded out to third.Â

Emily Versnik reached on an error by the Spartan's shortstop. This play was followed by eight consecutive hits that led to a frame where the Norse scored 10 runs on 11 hits and only one of the runs was earned.
Kendra Cooper went the distance in the circle. Cooper allowed one run on two hits, walked one and struck out two. Cooper is now 9-0 with an ERA of 1.47.
Offensively, the Norse tallied 17 hits, that included seven players producing multiple hits. Berg drove in three runs, while Schutlz and Skeie had two RBI.
Katie Brennan, Halvorson and
Abby Spore each drove in one run.
The win gives Luther an A-R-C record of 3-2, 14-5 overall. Dubuque fell to 3-3 in league play, 10-4 overall.
Luther returns to action this weekend when it will host Central College on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3. On Friday, the two teams will play a double header that begins at 2:00 p.m.. Saturday the final game of the three-game series will start at 11:00 a.m.
