WINONA, Minn. — The Luther volleyball team was swept by St. Scholastica 3-0 (13-25, 18-25, 8-25) to start the Sugar Loaf Classic hosted by St. Mary's (MN). The Saints out hit the Norse with 35 kills and a .173 hitting percentage for the match.
Ruby Gerhard tallied six kills while
Kylie Zeigler and
Liv Glumack each contributed four. Defensively, three players were in double digits for digs including
Iris Elias and
Abi Houston with 12 each and
Lindsay Hanson with 10.
Luther will play two matches on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Crown College at 9 a.m. followed by the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 1 p.m. in Winona, Minn.
