CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference announced the 2025-26 Men's Tennis all-conference team on Wednesday. Six athletes were named all-conference including
Joao Benvenutti,
Juan Hernandez Herrera,
Abhay Chhabra,
Gerardo Ramirez Mainou,
Jake Nelson and
Rhys Biro-Moore.
Geoffrey Stoughton was named honorable mention. Benvenutti was awarded the honor of being the conference most valuable player. His honor marked the fourth straight year of a Luther athlete being recognized as the MVP. The Luther coaching staff of
Adam Strand and
Peter Heryla were named the coaching staff of the year.
Benvenutti is a three-time singles and doubles all-conference honoree for the third straight season. In conference play he went 5-0 in singles and 4-1 in doubles
Chhabra is also a three-time all-conference honoree in singles and doubles. He was 5-1 in doubles and 3-0 in singes. Chhabra earned all-conference honors in 2023 and 2025.
Hernandez Herrera earns his first all-conference honors for singles after being honorable mention for the last two seasons. He was 4-0 in singles during the season.
First-time all-conference doubles honors went to Biro-Moore who was 6-1 and Nelson 5-1. And first-time honoree Ramirez Mainou earns his first honors for singles after going unbeaten at 6-0.
