The Luther College men's golf team remains in third place after the second round of the American Rivers Conference Championship. The 54-hole tournament will wrap up tomorrow with the team champion earning the league's automatic berth to the 2026 NCAA III Men's Golf Championships. The tournament is being played at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa. The par 71 measures 6697 yards.
Following a 301 on day one, the Norse carded a 320 today, for a 36-hole total of 621. The University of Dubuque holds a commanding 17 stroke lead carding rounds of 287-299 for a 586. Nebraska Wesleyan University moved into second place (304-299-603), and Central College fell from second place to fourth shooting 328 today and have a two-day total of 624.
Garett Sperber followed his 72 on day one, with a 76 today and is alone in fifth place at 148. The top-10 players following tomorrow's final round will earn all-conference honors.
Max Brook (19th - 73-83-156),
Owen King (20th - 76-81-157) and
Alexander Wold (T29 - 80-81-161) completed the Norse who have played in both rounds.
Pieter Rippentrop replaced Ben Christenson on today's roster and shot an 82.
