The 2026 Loras Spring Invitational is in the books. The two-day tournament was played at The Meadows Golf Club in Asbury, Iowa with wet windy weather on day one and much nicer spring weather on day two. Eight teams were in the field, four with a B Team, for a total of 74 golfers.
Luther shot rounds of 315-306 for a 621 on the Par 72 that measured 6675 yards. The Norse finished in a three-way tie with Wartburg College and Waldorf University. St. Ambrose University won the team title carding rounds of 312-291 for a 603. Tyler Vaughn of Wartburg was the tournament medalist (74-71-145).Â
Individually,
Max Brook posted a top-10 finish. Brook shot (77-75-152). The remainder of the Norse five included
Owen King was next for the Norse (T13 - 78-75-153),
Garett Sperber (T25 - 82-76-158),
Alexander Wold (T25 - 78-80-158), and
Pieter Rippentrop (T58 - 85-80-165).Â
Benjamin Christenson (T61 - 85-81-166),
Ben Leake (T66 - 86-86-172) and
Matthew Zug (T66 - 87-85-172) played as individuals.Â

Luther will wrap up its regular season spring schedule at home at Oneota Golf and Country Club April 18-19. The Norse will host the Luther Spring Classic. This will be the final warm-up before the American Rivers Conference Championship that will take place April 26-28 at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa.Â
