Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Luther College softball team won their fourth game straight after defeating Buena Vista University 13-0 in five innings and 10-4 in the second game. The Norse bats continued to stay hot with 23 hits between the two games. Raven Allen became the 16^th player in program history reach 100 career rbi. Luther is now 16-10 overall and 5-3 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
 
Game 1: Luther 13, Buena Vista 0 (five innings)
The Norse scored 13 runs on 12 hits as they scored in every inning of the contest. Allen and Avery Nehring were both 2-for-3 at the plate. Evie Striel led the team with three rbi. Four of the 12 hits were doubles from Madi Urfer, Allen, Madi Elwood, and Jordan Torrez.
 
Alexa Stevermer pitched four innings earning the win allowing two hits along with five strikeouts. Kenedy Sandoval came in relief for the final frame facing five batters giving up two walks and tallied one strikeout.
 
Game 2: Luther 10, Buena Vista 4
Luther trailed 4-1 after two innings complete. A four-run inning in the top of the fourth put the Norse back out in front of the Beavers. Another three runs in the sixth and two in the seventh gave Luther the decisive victory.
 
Allen stayed strong at the plate going 3-for-5 with three runs. Mya Larsen was 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Elwood and Rose Weber had two rbi each. Stevermer was credited with the win coming in relief for Isabelle Staton and is now 9-4.
 
The Norse have won the last eight meetings against the Beavers dating back to the 2023 season. Buena Vista drops to 6-24 and 0-6 in the A-R-C.
 
Luther plays again on Sunday, April 19 against no. 23 Central College. First pitch for the doubleheader is at 2 p.m. in Decorah, Iowa.
