The Luther College baseball team won the first two games of the three-game series with Central College this afternoon in the valley. The Norse won game one 5-3, followed by a 10-2 victory in the nightcap. During the two games the Norse tallied 15 runs on 25 hits. Head Coach
Bryan Nikkel also had two solid outings by his pitching staff who held the Dutch to 5 runs on 12 hits.
In game one,
Josh Stratton (6-0) allowed one run on four hits in eight innings of work. He faced 33 batters, walked one and struck out eight.
Ty Grewal led the offensive attack with three rbi, that included a two-run home run in the fourth frame, his first career home run.
Tyrus Werner and
Ryan Truman were also credited with an rbi.Â

In game two,
Charles Running (5-1) allowed one run on five hits in seven innings of work. He walked one and struck out 11 and at one point retired 11 Dutch in a row.
Noah Kindem,
Hayden Torgerson, Grewal and Truman all had two rbi, while both
Xavier Millan and Werner drove in one run.Â
