The Luther College men's tennis team ran its win streak to seven in a row following a 6-1 victory over Macalester College this afternoon in Rochester, Minn.
In Doubles, the Norse won two of three matches.
Gregor Gottein and
Geoffrey Stoughton posted a (6-2) win at No. 2.
Jake Althaus and
Juan Hernandez Herrera won (6-3) at No. 3.
Joao Benvenutti and
Abhay Chhabra were defeated at No. 1 (6-4).
The Norse won five of six singles matches with two of the matches decided in a third set tie breaker. Benvenutti at No. 1 defeated Jordan Doi (6-4, 5-7, 10-7). Chhabra at No. 3 defeated Kangyu Li (6-3, 4-6, 10-7).
Rhys Biro-Moore at No. 4 (6-2, 6-4),
Jake Nelson at No. 5 (6-3, 6-2) and
Dikshan Chhikara at No. 6 (6-2, 6-2) all won in straight sets.
