The Luther College men's tennis team, ranked No. 38 by the ITA, faced No. 1 U of Chicago this morning in Chicago, Ill. The Norse were eliminated from the NCAA III National Tournament after falling to the Maroons by a final of 4-0.
The Maroons won two of the three doubles matches to secure a one point advantage. In singles, nationally ranked No. 8 Emil Grantcharov won at No. 2 (6-0, 6-2), No. #25 Alexander Ekstrand won at No. 3 (6-1, 6-3), and No. 42 Christian Liew secured the team win with a (6-0, 6-0) win at No. 6.
