The men's tennis team traveled to Orlando, Flordia and the USTA National Campus for their annual spring trip. The Norse posted a record of 3-1 and are now 11-2 overall.
March 21 vs. Hamilton College (NY) - The Continentals defeated the Norse this afternoon by a final of 5-2. The loss snapped a seven match win streak dating back to Feb. 7. The Norse won the point for doubles thanks to victories at by
Joao Benvenutti and
Abhay Chhabra (6-4) at No. 1 and
Juan Hernandez Herrera and
Geoffrey Stoughton (6-1) at No. 3.
Rhys Biro-Moore posted the lone victory in singles at No. 5 winning a three set tie breaker (5-7, 6-3, 1-0).

March 22 vs. Union College (NY) - This was only the second time that Luther and Union squared off on the tennis courts and today's match was a dandy. The Norse won the match 7-0 that included five of the six singles matches won in a third set tie breaker. The Norse swept doubles dropping just seven games. In singles,
Abhay Chhabra was the lone Norse to win in straight sets at No. 3 (6-3, 6-4).
Joao Benvenutti at No. 1, Juan Herandez Herrera at No. 2,
Gerardo Ramirez Mainou at No. 4, Rys Biro-Moore at No. 5 and
Dikshan Chhikara at No. 6, all won in three sets. The victory gives the Norse an overall record of 9-2.

March 24Â vs. Huntingdon College (AL) - Luther won its second match in a row, a 6-1 decision over Huntingdon College this afternoon. The Norse swept doubles dropping just six games and won five singles matches all in straight sets.

Jake Nelson at No. 5, won their singles matches (6-0, 6-0).
Joao Benvenutti lost a hard fought three set tie breaker at No. 1 (6-7, 6-2, 7-10). The win gives Luthe ran overall record of 10-2.

March 26 vs. St. Lawrence University (NY) - The same day the Norse were ranked No. 39 in the NCAA III, they posted a 5-2 victory over St. Lawrence University. The Norse fell behind 1-0 after doubles dropping two of three matches. The lone win in doubles was by the No. 3 duo of Juan Herandez Herrera and
Geoffrey Stoughton (6-4). The Norse won five of six singles matches to secure the 5-2 win.
