Luther wrapped up its three game series at Nebraska Wesleyan Univeristy with wins of 5-2 and 14-3 (8) and swept the series 3-0. The Norse have now won eight in a row and are 13-4 overall.
In game one this afternoon, the Norse scored five runs on 11 hits.
Tyrus Werner had two rbi, while
Ike Swanson,
Noah Kindem and
Gavin Scurr all drove in one run. Scurr hit his third home run of the series, a solo shot in the eighth.
Brody Von Berg (3-1) did not allow a run in six innings of work. He walked four and struck out 10.
CJ Boudreaux was credited with his third save of the year. Boudreaux took the mound with the bases loaded with one out in the eighth and got the final two outs. In the ninth he struck out three of the five batters he faced.

In the nightcap, the Norse scored 14 runs on 14 hits, scoring four times in both the second and seventh frames, and three times in both the fifth and eighth innings.
Swanson led the attack going 3-for-6 with seven rbi. He hit a three-run home run to left in the seventh. Kindem and Scurr had three rbi. Kindem hit a two-run home run to center in the eighth. Hayden Torferson hit a solo shot to left center in the fifth.
Charles Running (2-1) threw six scoreless innings. He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out five.
