Luther's eight-game win streak came to an end tonight as the Norse were defeated by the Knights of Wartburg College 6-5 in Waverly. The Norse tallied seven hits and took their only lead of the game (5-4) after scoring two runs in the top of the eighth. Wartburg answered with two runs in the ninth. With two outs, the Knights Charlie Krueger hit a bases loaded pinch hit single that secured the victory.

Ryan Truman were all credited with an rbi. Kindem hit a lead-off solo home run in the fourth. Scurr was the lone Norse with multiple hits going 2-for-4.

The Norse are now 3-1 in the A-R-C, 13-5 overall, and are one of four teams with one loss in the league standings. One of those teams is the University of Dubuque, where Luther will travel to this Friday and Saturday, March 27-28. Friday's game will begin at 3 p.m. and Saturday's twin bill will begin at 1 p.m.
