The Luther baseball team traveled to Rock Island, Ill., for a three game series at Augustana College. The Norse won two of three and leveled their overall record to 3-3. The Norse won game one 19-8 (7), lost game two 4-11, and won game three 11-4.
In game one, the Norse hit the ball hard producing six doubles and three home runs. They scored six runs in the second, four in the third and five in the seventh.
Noah Kindem hit a three-run home run and
Zach Gwost hit a two-run dinger in the second.
Xavier Millan hit a solo shot in the sixth. Millan had 4 rbi, followed by Kindem and Gwost with 3, while
Ike Swanson and
Ty Grewal were both credited with 2.
Josh Stratton picked up the win allowing four runs on 11 hits in five innings of work.Â

Luther did all of its damage in game two in the sixth inning. Gwost, GrewalÂ
Tyrus Werner all had two hits. Werener led the team with two rbi.
Brody Von Berge was credited with the loss.

With the score tied 4-4 after eight frames, the Nose exploded for nine runs in the top of the 9th to secure the series win. Swanson,
Hayden Torgerson, and Millan led the attack driving in two runs each. Swanson had three hits and Gwost had two.
CJ Boudreaux was credited with the win throwing shutout innings in the 8th and 9th frames.Â

Luther resumes its early schedule March 7 and 8, when it will play St. Olaf College in a four-game series at West Liberty High School, located in West Liberty, Iowa. Saturday's double header will begin at 1 p.m. and Sunday's twin bill will begin at Noon.Â
