LINCOLN, Neb. – The Luther women's basketball team blew past Nebraska Wesleyan 86-50 behind a team shooting percentage of 53.2 percent from the field.
Haylie Strum and
Natalie Beaver both tallied double-doubles in the contest. Luther moves to 10-8 overall and 6-3 in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C).
The Norse scored 20 points or more in three of the four quarters. The Prairie Wolves were held to just nine points in the second and third quarters.
Luther led the following statistical categories including points in the paint (44-22), rebounds (47-27), assists (19-11), and blocks (4-2).
Strum was scored 23 points marking her second straight game with 20 points or more. She also had 10 rebounds for her second double-double this season. Strum needs ten points to reach 1,000 career points.
Beaver followed with 18 points and led the team with 13 rebounds.
Abigail Panka tallied 12 points and
Lexi Thomas chipped in 10.
Ellie McMann had a team high four assists.
Nebraska Wesleyan drops to 4-14 overall and 1-8 in the A-R-C.
Luther hosts Wartburg on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m.
