WAVERLY, Iowa — The Luther Volleyball team (4-11, 0-1 A-R-C) opened their the American Rivers Conference season falling in straight sets to Wartburg (8-5, 1-0 A-R-C) 13-25, 18-25, 12-25, on Tuesday evening at Levick Arena. The match marked the final time these two teams would meet in the regular season. The two teams have a long series history dating back to 1975.
The Knights had a .329 hitting percentage along with 14 service aces. The Norse edged the Knights in blocks with four in the match.
Lindsay Hanson and
Julianne Lundvall led the Luther attack with four kills.
Addie Leuthner tallied seven assists while Arzaria McDonough dished out six.
Jenna Langen recorded eight digs.
Luther is back on the road on Friday, Sept. 26 as they take on Augustana College (IL) at 7 p.m. in Rock Island, Ill.
