Luther traveled to Wartburg for a midweek game this afternoon and was defeated by the Knights 9-6. The loss was the second in a row for the Norse who are now 1-6 in league play, 5-15 overall.
The Norse held a 6-4 lead heading into the fifth, but gave up two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Noah Dutler and
Ike Swanson all had multiple hit efforts. Heinert was 3-for-4 from the lead-off slot and drove in two runs. Dutler was 2-for-4 and Swanson was 2-for-3 and was credited with one RBI.
Mark Prince hit a solo home run to left field, his fourth of the year.
Blake Jondle was credited with the loss. Jondle took over for starter
Brody Von Berge in the fifth. Jondle allowed three runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out two. Von Berge pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed six runs on eight hits and struck out four.

Luther returns to action this weekend when it will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a three-game series with Coe College. Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Saturday's double header will begin at 1 p.m.Â
