Nationally ranked No. 24 Luther College finished the 2026 Gator 'Boots" Duals with a record of 3-1 this afternoon at McGavock High School, Nashville, Tenn. The Norse wrap up the afternoon with an overall record of 5-3.

The Norse held a 24-12 lead after seven matches. Ursinus won the final three bouts, two by fall, to secure the come-from-behind victory. Quentin Vilmenay (149) and No. 1 Clayton McDonough (165) both had falls, while No. 6 Bryce McDonough (174) recorded a tech fall and No. 10 Connor Kidd (133) won by major decision.

The Norse breezed to victory posting nine falls and one tech fall. Three of the falls were under 50 seconds, with Ben Strehlow (197) posted the fastest fall at 33 seconds.

Luther never trailed in this match. Bonus points were provided by Mateo Ochoa (141), Peter Hollingshead (157) and No. 1 Clayton McDonough (165) who all recorded falls. No. 10 Connor Kidd (133) had a tech fall and Ben Strehlow (197) tallied a major decision.

Nationally ranked No. 1 Clayton McDonough (165) recorded his fourth fall of the afternoon and improved to 20-0 for the year. He has now moved into the third spot all-time for career wins with 124. Griffin Schultz (184) had a big win over No. 10 ranked Khalil Mitchell by fall (1:30). No. 10  Kidd (133), Vilmenay (149) and Strehlow (197) all won by major decision. No. 6 Bryce McDonough won by tech fall.
