DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's soccer team won the A-R-C Tournament Championship by defeating Wartburg 1-0.
Elliot Lindberg scored the game winner in the 12th minute who flicked it in with his head. This marked the 11th tournament championship for the Norse and the first since 2022. This is also the first time since 2002 Luther has won the regular season title and tournament championship.
A foul on the Knights gave the Norse a free kick outside the box.
Francesco Mungari sent in the cross towards the goal. The ball bounced around hitting off of
Enzo Mitidieri and then to the head of Lindberg who knocked into the back of the net. The goal marked Lindberg's second of the season and his first career game winning goal.
Wartburg out shot Luther 13-9.
Luther will wait to see where they will play the first round of the NCAA tournament in the selection show on Monday, Nov. 10 at 10:30 a.m.
