INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Luther men's soccer team enters the NCAA Tournament for the 12
th time in program history after earning the American Rivers Conference automatic bid on Saturday. The Norse defeated Wartburg 1-0 in the tournament championship.
In the selection show announced on Monday, the Norse learned they will be traveling to Northfield, Minn. as St. Olaf College will be the host institution. Luther will take on the Midwest Conference Champion Lake Forest College (19-1-0) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Rolf Mellby Field. This will be the second time that these two programs will meet in the NCAA Tournament since Nov. 14, 2013 where the Norse defeated the Foresters 3-0 in the first round.
In the other first-round game St. Olaf (16-2-3) and the Upper Midwest Conference Champion the University of Wisconsin-Superior (16-6-0) will play at 11 a.m.
The winners of the first-round games will play on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. for a spot in the sectional rounds.
Tickets will be available on-stie on the day of the game only. Cash or credit accepted. Sales will begin one hour prior to kickoff. $6 Adults, $3 Students/Seniors, $2 Children ages 3-12, Free Children 2 and under.
