DUBUQUE, Iowa — Luther (3-2-4, 0-0-1 A-R-C) played to a 1-1 draw against the University of Dubuque (0-6-4, 0-0-2 A-R-C) at Oyen Field.
Enzo Mitidieri scored the goal that tied the game in the 78th minute. Both goals in the contest came in the second half.
Scoreless after the first half, both teams came out of the break looking for a goal. The deadlock was broken open by the Spartans in the 70th minute by Mario Meier. Then Luther responded with the equalizer in the 78th minute by Mitidieri assisted by
Nels Mortenson. This was Mitidieri's third goal of the season. Both teams had chances to score the game winner in the final four minutes but the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Luther will host Loras on Wednesday, Oct. 8 in Decorah, Iowa with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
