CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference revealed the 2025-26 Women's Wrestling Preseason Poll on Thursday. The Luther women's wrestling team begins its inaugural season.
The Norse roster features seven wrestlers as members of the first ever team including
Kelsey Knief,
Kylie Miller,
Lucy Miller,
Grace Rinehart,
Lexi Timmerman,
Avani Williams, and
Nina Yankey.
In his first season as the head coach is
Ryan Timmerman. "I am very excited to finally get rolling with this great group of student athletes, it's been a long time coming," said Timmerman. "Building a strong culture encompassing our values is going to go a long way to creating a successful team now and in the future; not only on the mat, but throughout every aspect of their lives. Although this will be our first and only year competing in the A-R-C, we want to leave a legacy of a program that develops great people."
Highlights of the schedule include the Pointer Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, Nov. 1 followed by the Luther Open on Saturday, Nov. 15 as their first home event. In December the Norse will travel Nashville, Tenn. for the Gator "Boots" Duals. The A-R-C Championship will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24 in Pella, Iowa.
