Luther faced Macalester College in the first of two matches today at the UW-La Crosse Invitational. Macalester won the match 3-1 posting scores of 25-10, 25-23 and 25-23. Luther won set two 25-20. The match was tied 10 times and there were eight lead changes.

Luther was led by Sarina Stortz and Emily Hagen who both posted double digit totals for kills. Stortz recorded a match high 20, while Hagen tallied 12. Stortz also led the team with five ace serves. Emma Kowalczyk dished out a match high 32 assists and posted a double double thanks to 13 digs. Kyah Olson-Sola and Karoline Tiu were credited with 14 and 10 digs respectively.

The loss gives Luther an overall record of 4-10, while Macalester improved to 8-4.
