Nationally ranked No. 22 Luther completed its dual meet schedule with a 44-9 victory over Buena Vista University on Senior Night here in the Regents Center. The win gives Luther a dual meet record of 12-7, 4-4 in the American Rivers Conference.

After the first four matches, the Norse led by two (11-9). During this stretch, Buena Vista was open at 125 and Ryan Cripe (141) posted a tech fall (19-4, 4:42) over Roberto Delgado. Nationally ranked No. 11 Clayton McDonough (157), No. 12 Bryce McDonough (165) and Drake Tiedemann (174) all tallied tech falls. Clayton defeated Hayden Stout (17-0, 3:26); Bryce defeated Jonah Siebert (15-0, 2:55); and Tiedemann defeated Max Mashek (25-9, 6:31). Elijah Mitchell (184) finished the action on the mat with the lone fall of the evening (1:49) over Luis Salazar. Buena Vista was open at 197 and 285.

Head Coach Dave Mitchell, who is in the midst of his 28th season at the helm of the program, has now led the Norse to 25 winning dual meet seasons. The National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Hall of Fame Member is 327-172-6 during his career.

This Sunday, Feb. 18, the Norse will wrap up the regular season at the University of Dubuque Invitational. Action will begin at 1:00 p.m.
