ATLANTA, Ga. - The Luther men's basketball team was defeated by Oglethorpe 50-72 in the first ever meeting between the two squads. The Norse kept it close in the first half down 26-30 but were outscored 42-24 in the second half. Oglethorpe shot 46.6 from the field and were 9-19 from beyond the arc in the second frame. Luther fell to 1-9 overall while Oglethorpe improved to 7-4. 
The Norse were led by 
Mikkel Schutte with 10 points and seven rebounds. 
Charlie Wunderlich scored nine points. Luther had 45 rebounds compared to 41 of Oglethorpe.
