Luther traveled to Crown College this afternoon and was defeated by the Polars 96-81. The Norse led 43-37 at halftime but were outscored 59-38 in the second half. The Polars did the majority of their damage from behind the arc where they shot 54.2 percent that included a 66.7 percent effort in the second frame.
The Norse were led by
Mikkel Schutte who produced a double-double thanks to 18 points and a game high 11 rebounds.
Andre Palavra (16), Adian Bailey (13), and
Matthew Franzen (10) also tallied double digits.
The Norse shot 43.8 percent from the field that included 26.1 percent from behind the three-point line. The Norse did win the battle of the boards 36-32.
The loss was the fifth in a row for Luther who is now 1-5 overall. Crown improved to 4-1.
