DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball was beaten by Wartburg 67-58 in the American Rivers Conference home opener. The Knights had a five point lead at halftime 35-30. The Norse pulled within two (40-38) with 14:25 left in the contest. However, Wartburg maintained their lead the rest of the way. Luther falls to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the A-R-C while Wartburg improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Mikkel Schutte recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds and
Aidan Bailey led the team with 18 points.
The Norse slightly out-rebounded the Knights 42-38. Luther scored 32 points in the paint and 20 came from the bench.Â
