It was homecoming in the valley and Luther hosted Nebraska Wesleyan University for what was the 10th meeting of a series that started in 1989. The Prairie Wolves defeated the Norse 40-14.
Luther put two scoring drives together, the first a 10 play, 70-yard drive in the second quarter, and a two-play, 70-yard drive in the fourth.
Aiden Damiani posted a career high 193 all-purpose yards to lead the offensive attack. He rushed for 93 yards on 14 carries and led the receiving corps with five catches for 100 yards, that included a 66-yard touchdown catch from
Brett Liljedahl.
Liljedahl, returned to field as the surprised starter at quarterback, after missing the last game due to injury. He threw for 186 yards, connecting on 12 of 30 attempts.
Defensively,
Tyler Ragan once again led all tacklers with 13.
Danny Millner was next with nine, followed by
Xavier Capton with eight and
William Whalen with seven.

One week from today, Luther travels to league leading Wartburg College (5-0). The Knights, who entered this week ranked No. 12 in the AFCA III Coaches Poll, are coming off a 14-7 victory over previously unbeaten Coe College (5-1).
