DECORAH, IOWA – Luther hosted the first indoor meet in the newly renovated Robert and Ann Naslund Sports and Recreation Center as they also welcomed back alumni of the programs. The women's team claimed first place with 143.5 points out of nine teams.
Mya Ploor (Sturgeon Bay, Wis. / Sevastopol) set a school record in the pole vault.
NEW HOME SURFACE
In field events,
Mya Ploor (Sturgeon Bay, Wis. / Sevastopol) cleared a height of 3.15m setting a school record for indoor pole vault and finished first among the field.
McKenna Prunty (Worthington, Minn. / Worthington) was third in the event with a height of 2.29m.
Katie Dailey (Utica, Minn. / St. Charles) was second in high jump with a mark of 1.50m,
Annika Elco (Horizon) finished third with 1.35m and
Amara Marks (Urbandale, Iowa / Urbandale) was fourth with 1.30m. In the long jump
Gabbie Schei was third with 4.20m.
Annika Elco claimed the top spot in the triple jump with a 10.07m mark for a personal best for the first time competing in the event this season. For weight throw
Ashley Imdieke (Northfield, Minn. / Northfield) finished fourth throwing 13.17m with teammates
Payten Hardy (Menomonie, Wis. / Menomonie Senior) in sixth and
Emma Barness (Calmar, Iowa / South Winneshiek) eighth. In shot put
Margaret Stucker (Roseville, Minn. / Roseville Area) finished seventh with a 10.47m throw and
Emma Barness threw 9.41m to finish in eighth.
In the 60m hurdles,
Annika Elco finished first with a time of 9.88 setting a new career best running the event for just the third time in her career. She was followed by teammates
Amara Marks and
Katie Dailey who finished fifth and sixth in the event.
Grace Davidson (Birmingham, Iowa / Van Buren County) finished fourth with a time of 8.46 seconds in the 60m dash.
The Norse took top three spots in the 1000-meter run with
Steph Lewis (Ham Lake, Minn. / Blaine) in first, followed by
Alyssa Blankenship (Columbia Falls, Mont. / Columbia Falls) and
Sarah Grams (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / Kennedy) while
Maggie Haller (Minneapolis, Minn. / DeLaSalle) in fifth.
In the 200m dash
Kasandra Keller (Kenyon Minn. / Kenyon-Wanamingo) finished first with a time of 28.14,
Grace Davidson was fourth at 28.70 and
Rose Sieve (Apple Valley, Minn. / Rosemount) was sixth with a time of 29.76.
Berit Skogen (Fergus Falls, Minn. / Kennedy) finished fifth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:44.78. The 4x400 team with Keller, Elco, Lewis and Sieve finished second with a time of 4:22.44.

- Mya Ploor (Sturgeon Bay, Wis. / Sevastopol) for setting a new personal record and school record for pole vault while finishing first in the event.
