The men's tennis team swept the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 9-0 this afternoon in La Crosse. The victory pushed the Norse overall record to 10-9.
Luther lost just five games during doubles play.
Max Loen and
Nyathi Motlojoa posted an (8-3) win at No. 1.
Francisco Navarrete and
Luke Westholder won at No. 2 (8-2).
Joaquim Fernandes and
Nando Melo posted an (8-0) win at No. 3.
All six singles matches were won in straight sets. Motlojoa won at No. 1 (6-3, 6-2); Loen at No. 2 (6-2, 6-4); Westholder at No. 3 (6-2, 6-3); Fernandes at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1);
Dylan Wiemers at No. 5 (6-0, 6-1); and
Eli Young at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1).

Luther's next five matches are all against American Rivers Conference opponents. The Norse who are undefeated in league play thus far will host Loras College on Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23 it will travel to Coe College for a 1:00 p.m. match.
