Following a bit of a delay due to some weather that rolled through the Indianola, Iowa area, Luther and Simpson were able to complete their A-R-C match. The Norse secured a 9-0 victory and improved to 5-4 overall, 2-0 in league play.
All three doubles matches finished with Luther on top (8-1).
Nyathi Motlojoa and
Charlie Weill defeated Caleb Vasconez and Aaron Price at No. 1.
Max Loen and Nate Whithers teamed at No. 2 and defeated Peter Walkwitz and Ethan Humble.
Ricky Portilla and Ely Young got the call at No. 3 and defeated Drake Downard and Chase Henry.
The Norse lost just 14 games during straight set victories at every position in singles. Fernandes won at No. 1 (6-0, 6-3); Young won at No. 2 (6-0, 6-3);
Dylan Wiemers won at No. 3 (6-2, 6-0);
Francisco Navarrete won at No. 4 (6-2, 6-2); Portilla won at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0); and Whithers won at No. 6 (6-0, 6-2).

Luther returns to action Saturday, March 12 when it will travel to St. Peter, Minn., for a non-conference match against Gustavus Adolphus College. Start time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
