The men's tennis team traveled to St. Peter, Minn., this afternoon and faced No. 15 Gustavus Adolphus College. The Gusties defeated the Norse 8-1.
Nyathi Motlojoa posted the lone Norse victory at No. 1 singles. He defeated Indraneel Raut, who was ranked No. 33 in Division III (6-3, 4-6, 13-11).
At No. 1 doubles, it was a rematch of the 2021 Midwest ITA Doubles semifinal match between No. 9 Motlojoa and
Max Loen and No. 11 Nick Aney and Alex Budde of Gustavus. The Luther duo won that semifinal (8-7) and went on to finish as the runners-up in the tournament. This afternoon, Aney and Budde posted an (8-3) victory over the Norse duo.
