Aurora University secured a three-game sweep of Luther thanks to a 22-2 victory in seven innings this afternoon. The Spartans faced five Norse pitchers and produced 18 hits, scoring multiple runs in every inning, including 11 in the fourth frame.
Luther scored both of its runs in the top of the first. The Norse had four of their six hits in this frame.
Gavin Scurr and
Joshua Matanich were both credited with an rbi.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 7-5, while Aurora improved to 8-3.
The Norse will begin American Rivers Conference action at home March 25-26. Luther will host Loras College for one game on Friday with a start time slated for 3:00 p.m. Saturday's double header will begin at 1:00 p.m.
