Luther and Minnesota State-Mankato kicked off the 2021 fall schedule in Decorah. Originally, the College of St. Benedict was scheduled to play a triangular, but scheduling conflicts forced St. Ben's to cancel. The Norse and Mavericks decided to split their squads and play two official matches.

In match one, the Mavericks defeated the Norse 6-3. Anne Olimpio (6-1, 6-4) and Bruna Costa (6-3, 6-3) posted straight set victories in singles. Olimpio and Emily Rubbelka posted the lone victory in doubles (8-1).
