Loras tied this four-game series one game apiece with a 7-2 victory in today's nightcap played at Patrakis Field in Dubuque. The Duhawks had 12 hits and scored four runs in the first, one in the fourth and two in the fifth to secure the victory.
Luther scored a run in both the fifth and sixth frames.
Noah Sebben drove in Luther's first run with a sacrifice fly to right field that scored
Kyle Schnobrich who started the frame with a single to left.
In the fifth,
Charlie Rubendall drove in
Luke Plunkett on a sacrifice fly to right field. Plunkett reached on a double to right center and then advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Duhawks starting pitcher Matt Jeter (4-1) picked up the win. He threw seven innings and allowed two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out six.
The loss gives Luther an A-R-C record of 21-5, 25-9 overall. Loras is now 15-11 in league play, 20-12 overall.
These two teams will complete this four game series with a double header on Saturday, May 8 that will begin at 1:00 p.m.
