Luther won the nightcap of today's double header 14-10 and extended its win streak to seven games.
The Norse scored five runs in the first two innings. In the first,
Owen Vander Linden had an rbi single and
Noah Sebben brought home two runs with a triple, each hit coming with two outs. Luther would add three more runs in the second thanks to an rbi triple by
Charlie Rubendall and an rbi single by
Luke Plunkett.
Simpson then scored eight unanswered runs, tallying one run each in the third and fourth innings and six runs in the fifth, and held an 8-5 advantage. The Norse would come back with six runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth, retaking the lead for good.

Kyle Schnobrich scored on a wild pitch,
Cullen Stamp drew a walk with the bases loaded,
Jayden Kies had an rbi fielder's choice and Rubendall added a two-out, two-run single to give Luther an 11-8 lead.
Simpson would cut the lead to 11-10 with a two-spot in the sixth. The Norse would end the scoring with an rbi single by Rubendall in the seventh and a two-run single by Stamp in the eighth.
Rubendall had three hits, four rbi and scored twice, while Stamp was 3-for-3, drew two walks and knocked in three runs.
Calvin Brinda (2-0) earned the win in relief.
Carter Bratland was credited with his first save of the season pitching the final three innings, giving up two hits, no runs, walking three and striking out four.
Luther improves its record to 23-7 overall and 19-3 in American Rivers Conference. The Norse and Storm will play a double header in Decorah on Sunday, May 2 with the first pitch scheduled for 10 a.m.
