The top two teams in the American Rivers Conference squared off for the final regular season four-game series this afternoon. No. 13 Coe College secured the regular season league title defeating Luther 8-1 in game one. The Kohawks scored three times in the third and added five more runs in the top of the seventh to secure their 26th league victory against three losses.

Luther's lone run came in the bottom of the sixth. Designated hitter Josh Matanich started the frame with a single to right field. Peyton Lindmark followed with a single to left. Matanich advanced to third on a fielders choice and scored on an error by the Kohawks shortstop.

The loss gives Luther a league record of 22-7, 26-11 overall.
