Luther scored five runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth en route to a come-from-behind 7-3 victory over Wartburg this afternoon in Waverly. This was the first game of a four-game series with the Knights.
Kelby Johnson led the Norse with two rbi. He drove in a run in the fourth with a single up the middle, and also drove in a run on a fielder's choice in the fifth.
Kyle Schnobrich and
Charlie Rubendall were also credited with an rbi each.
Luke Plunkett was the only Norse to produce multiple hits going 2-for-4 and scoring twice.
Tyler Boesel (5-1) was credited with the win on the mound. Boesel pitched six innings, allowed three runs on six hits, walked three and struck out four.
The win gives Luther an A-R-C record of 14-3, while Wartburg fell to 10-11.
