Luther won game two of this four-game weekend series with Nebraska Wesleyan University by a final of 8-3. The Norse scored in every inning of this nine frame game except two.

Owen Vander Linden drove in three runs while going 3-for-5 at the plate. Lead off hitter
Peyton Lindmark (2-for-5) and
Kyle Schnobrich (1-for-4) were both credited with two rbi, and
Joe Jersak (1-for-4) drove in one. Luke Plunket and
Kelby Johnson were both perfect at the plate. Plunkett reached base all five of his plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with three walks. Johnson was 4-for-4 that included three singles, a double and sac bunt.
Charlie Rubendall (2-for-5) and
Joe McKibben (3-for-4) also had multiple hit games.
John Colucci III (3-1) pitched eight solid innings en route to the victory. He allowed three runs on seven hits, walked three and struck out six.
Collin Chalmers threw the final frame and struck out three of the four batters he faced.
Luther is now 12-2 in the
American Rivers Conference and alone in second place in the league standings based on win percentage. Nebraska Wesleyan (5-13) fell to ninth place.
