Luther secured its second sweep of the season, defeating Northwestern (MN) 8-0 in five innings in today's nightcap.

Luther scored in each of the five innings. Elsa Skeie had an RBI double in the first inning and scored on an Eagle error. Morgan Hogenson drove in Belle Berg on a two-out RBI single in the second. The Norse tallied three runs in the third, all coming with two outs. Katie Breannan had an RBI single that scored Hannah Halverson and Hogenson knocked in Berg and Sophie Witt with a single. A Northwestern error scored the seventh run in the fourth and a Anna Dietrich single scored Hogenson in the fifth to end the game. Brennan, Hogenson, Halverson and Witt each had two hits for the Norse and Hogenson produced a team best three RBI.

Sam Thompson threw the first four innings in the circle of game two earning her second win of the season. She gave up two hits, walked one and struck out two.
