Host St. Mary's University produced back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the seventh inning to win game one of this twin bill in Winona, Minn., 2-1. The Cardinals took a 1-0 lead after the first frame and Luther tied the game with a run of its own in the top of the second. The Cardinals had nine hits and the Norse had four.

Owen Vander Linden scored on an error by Cardinal pitcher Ryan Wolfe, who was attempting to throw out
Kyle Schnobrich at second who had followed Vander Linden with a single to left field.
Joe McKibben reached on the fielder's choice on the play.
The loss was the second in a row for the Norse who are now 2-2 overall. St. Mary's improved to 2-0.
