Luther hosted Cornell College this evening in the Regents Center Gymnasium and was defeated by a final of 75-63. The Rams held a five point lead at half (31-25) and blistered the nets in the second half shooting 56% and won the second half (44-38).
The Norse were led by
Matthew Franzen and
Andrew Lazinbat who scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
Mat Rohden was next with nine, followed by
Ben Gill with eight.
Daniel Webster led the team in rebounding with seven and dished out a game high six assists.
Four Rams tallied double digits. Cooper Kabela led all scorers with 20 and Marcus Quick was next with 18. Logan Sharp collected 14 rebounds, 12 off the defensive glass.
The loss gives Luther an overall record of 1-9, while Cornell improved to 7-4.
Luther has a short break before traveling to Texas for two games the final week of December. The Norse will play at University of Dallas on the 29th and at Austin College on the 30th.
