Alex Jorgensen

2019 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, emphasis in coaching and human performance
The 2022 campaign will be coach Jorgensen's second with the Norse program
Last year the Norse pitching staff combined ERA of 4.38 was the third best in the league
Prior to joining the Norse staff, he was the pitching coach for Central Lakes College, Brainerd, Minn.
He has also served as an assistant coach for the De Pere , Wis., Varsity Legion team in 2017
Played professionally in the Frontier League, with the Joliet (IL) Slammers. During the summer of 2020, he pitched 22.1 innings and recorded an ERA of 0.81 during his 10 appearances out of the bullpen
During his five-year collegiate career at Southwest Minnesota State University, he recorded 104 strikeouts in 45 appearances as a starter and reliever. During his senior season he finished 2-0 with an ERA of 2.55 and a career low .215 opponent batting average
