Luther College

2022: In his first season with the Norse, Cornwell completed 204 passes for 2368 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for two touchdowns and catching another score. 

2020: Cornwell spent the 2020 season at Monmouth College.

High School: While at West Branch Highschool, Cornwell was a four-year letter winner in football and basketball. His senior year in football he was named Class 1A Football Player of the Year and he was selected for and played in the Iowa Shrine Bowl as Quarterback. In football he was named 1st Team All-Conference (2 yrs) 1st Team All-Area (2 yrs) 1st Team All-State (2 yrs) and 1st Team All-District (1 yr). Along with that he was named 1st Team All-Iowa Punter (1 yr) and All-District MVP kicker (2 yrs). He broke multiple school records for quarterback and kicker as well. In basketball, his senior year he was named River Valley Conference Preseason Player of the Year and was invited to and played in all three of the ICBA, Eastern Iowa and RVC All Star Basketball Games. In basketball he was named 1st Team All-Conference Unanimous Decision (1 yr), 1st Team All-Conference Elite Team (2 yrs), 1st Team All-Conference Elite Team Unanimous Decision (1 yr), 3rd Team All-State (1 yr), All Sub-State Team (3 yrs), All-Conference Academic Team (2 yrs), and 1st Team All-Area (1 yr). He broke multiple school records in basketball as well including most points scored in a career at 1709. He was team captain in both football and basketball as well.

Personal: Cornwell is the son of Chris and Kari Cornwell.
