DECORAH, Iowa – In their second Midwest Conference match of the season the Luther women's tennis team beat Monmouth College 6-1.
In doubles, at no. 1
Allie Christensen and
Lena Lichau defeated Jenny Nelson and Ivana Stefanova 6-2 and at no. 3
Cate Bright and
Maddie Rowden secured the point in their 6-1 win over Delaney Albarram and Korryn Keehner.
In singles, Luther won five out of the six singles matches.
Olivia Huinker and
Jarlyne Felix picked up their first conference wins of their career winning at no. 5 and no. 6 respectfully.
Christensen finished the weekend 4-0 going 2-0 at no.1 doubles and 2-0 at no. 2 singles.
Luther will play two matches on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Cornell College at 9 a.m. in Mount Vernon, Iowa and at 3 p.m. vs Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
